The Peatholm’s screen: very cheap and very many. Regenerate makes the wounded top creature whole at the start of each of its turns, so damage that does not kill a whole creature is simply undone. An enemy has to hit them hard or not bother.
What the numbers mean
- One Peat Cutter costs 8 gold; a full stack of 50 costs 400 gold and has 550 hit points. 1000 gold, the quick battle’s draft, buys 125 of them.
- Only the front rank strikes: at most 10 of a stack hit at once, so a full stack deals 10–20 before attack and defence are counted.
- Attack above the target’s defence adds damage and attack below it takes damage off; How to play has the exact rule.
- It fights in melee and moves up to 4 tiles a turn.
Keywords
- Regenerate. At the start of its turn its wounded top creature is whole again; the dead stay dead.
Where to hire it
In Conquest, the Peatholm hire Peat Cutters at the town’s Muster Yard (400 gold, 5 wood to build) and the Levy Camp dwelling on the map, 20 a week. In the quick battle it is bought in the draft, with gold only.
Against every other fighter
The game’s own strike preview on an open board, keywords on and no hero powers: a blow from the next tile, without a run-up. Damage and kills are the low and high roll; the swing back is what the target’s survivors hit back with.
